Client FAQ & Booking Information

I'll be adding to and editing this section as needed. If you have a question that is not addressed below, feel free to ask!

How do we reserve a date?
Dates are booked on a first come, first served basis. Your date is reserved once I receive your signed contract and a non-refundable retainer of 25% of your final collection price.  I will return a fully signed copy of the contract for your records.  Your final payment is due one month before the wedding.

Do you offer packages or charge by the hour?
I offer both options. Wedding Collections start at $1600  or you may choose from the "A La Carte" menu to customize your wedding day coverage as needed.

Do you charge for travel?
There is no charge for travel within the 5 boroughs of New York and Long Island.  The cost for travel outside of New York City is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Do you charge sales tax?
Yes. According to New York State Law, photographers who provide a "tangible product" (CD, DVD, flash frive, albums or prints) must collect sales tax from their customers for the service that produced the final product (not just the cost of the print or album). The 8.875% sales tax is calculated into the final price after you have chosen your Wedding Collection or created your custom package.

What payment methods do you accept?
Payments may be made by cash, check or money order.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I love natural light, but I'm always prepared with several flashes and modifiers to work in all lighting conditions.  I also usually take the time to make a visit to the venue a few weeks before the date to see the site before hand. This ensures I have the right equipment for the job the day of. If there are specific lighting requirements from venues, please let me know 6 weeks before the event.

Do you work with a second photographer or assistant?
I will be the primary photographer and work with my assistant, Aloysius E., who will also work as a second shooter for larger weddings (or as needed).

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
There's always a chance equipment might fail, so I come prepared with 2 additional camera bodies, flashes and lenses to be sure I can continue to work regardless of equipment malfunction. I talk about the wonderful Nikon equipment I work with HERE.

How soon after the wedding are the proofs and online gallery ready for viewing?
Your images will be edited and ready for viewing 2 weeks after the event.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes. Jasmine E. Photography, LLC legally retains the copyright to all images, but will provide you with a print release, which allows you to print as many pictures as you'd like.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes. Jasmine E. Photography, LLC reserves the right to use photos for marketing, advertising and self-promotion. This includes use on the website, blog and submission for use in bridal magazines. I will never sell wedding images for profit.

What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer beautiful KISS wedding albums. You can see more about those HERE.

When will I get the final album?
Once you complete the image selection process and approve the album design, the album is usually ready in 2-3 weeks.

Do you have photography insurance?
Yes. Jasmine E. Photography, LLC is fully covered through TCP & Co. and can provide a certificate of insurance to your venue or banquet manager at your request.
